Applications for departmental examinations conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission for employees, teachers, and public sector employees are invited online. Candidates must pay the fees and submit their applications well before the specified deadline. Applications submitted through means other than online will be unconditionally rejected. Candidates who have already registered online for previous examinations are strictly prohibited from registering again. They must apply online exclusively through their existing registration (profile).

1. Registration

To register for the departmental examination, candidates must click on the Departmental Test Registration link available on the official website of the Kerala Public Service Commission. This will display the registration page on the screen.

New candidates must click the “New Registration” button on this page. This will open an online form for registration. The candidate must first upload a passport-size photograph and then provide their personal details.

2. Service Information

This section requires the submission of employment-related information, such as the name of the department, the candidate’s current designation, office address, and identification details. Identification details can include any one of the following: PAN card number, PEN number (Permanent Employee Number), voter ID, or driving license number. After providing the necessary information, the candidate should read the declaration carefully, tick the corresponding box, and click the “Next” button.

The login details for the candidate will then be generated. On this page, candidates can choose a username, either one they prefer or one suggested by the system. They should enter their desired username and password carefully and accurately. Afterward, the security code provided should be entered exactly as shown. Once the “Submit” button is clicked, the registration process will be complete.

3. Examination Details

After logging in using their user ID and password, candidates must click on the “Apply for the Test” link on the right side of their personal page. This will display the details of the currently notified examinations. By clicking on the respective link, a page for selecting papers will appear.

The first step on this page is to choose the region (location) where the candidate intends to write the exam. Next, the specific exam to be written should be selected. Candidates must then select the individual papers they wish to write and click the “Add” button. If all papers for a particular exam are to be written, selecting “All Papers” and clicking the “Add” button is sufficient. All desired exams and their respective papers can be selected in this manner.

The page also provides an option to utilize the free chance available for obligatory tests. Candidates eligible for this free chance must specify it in the designated box. After this, they can proceed to the e-payment process.
